The Command Staff consists of the Chief of Police and 3 Captains. The Captains are each assigned as division commanders. It is their job to make decision concerning the police department and its policies. |

Chief of Police
The Lancaster Police Department is committed to providing high-quality community-oriented services to the citizens of the City of Lancaster. Our mandate is to serve the public by creating partnerships with the community to protect and preserve life and property, to prevent crime, and to resolve community problems. The Department offers a variety of services that are tailored to address specific problems in neighborhoods as well as increase the citizens’ awareness and participation in crime prevention. These services include victim’s assistance, School Resource Officer, bicycle patrol, bicycle registration, moped licensing, Crime Watch programs, security surveys, special response teams, drug enforcement, investigations, Citizens Police Academy, and more. |
