PFC Josh Small verifies fingerprints submitted on the department's Cross Match Technologies Live Scan Fingerprint Machine.  This system automatically compares fingerprints against those already on file in the United States and sends the results back within a matter of minutes.  This has lead to the positive identification of numerous fugitives who gave false names when they were arrested. Once submitted, the arrest record is automatically added to the suspect's criminal record. If the suspect used an alias, that name is added as an alias on his/her criminal record.
